Objets de Mystère

I began research for Objets de Mystère in 2018 to better understand how cultural heritage objects and sites are used to engage the public. Research for this project began in a remote small-town museum in the middle of the Rocky Mountains but has since expanded around the world from the renowned museums of Europe, the World Heritage Sites of Kyoto, and the little wayside markers of transformative events and times in between.

This project is not just an examination of cultural heritage objects and their locations, it is a project rooted in discussions with the public about their knowledge and engagement with museums, sites, objects, cultures, and times being presented and studied.
